Electricity 101

Ever wondered how your house or business is wired? How are switches, sockets, and circuit breakers wired and how do they work? How is electricity delivered, distributed to rooms, and then measured and billed? What is voltage, current, resistance, and power? This class will answer those questions and many more to help you understand the electrical world around you, and communicate effectively and confidently with contractors, handymen, or others when the need arises. Electrical and fire safety will be emphasized throughout the class. No need for a technical or scientific background to understand the material presented, and it is guaranteed that you will use and appreciate this new knowledge for the rest of your life! Hal Rutenberg has been an infrastructure project manager for over 25 years in the aerospace and IT industries.
