Create Your Own Podcast: Hands-On Workshop
Podcasting is becoming one of the most innovative and effective methods of sharing ideas. In this nuts and bolts course, veteran podcasters walk you through the entire creation process, assisting you in creating a powerful podcast concept, developing episode ideas, showing you what equipment you need and how to use it. You will complete an episode of your own podcast and get ideas for ways to build a community. Michael Amidei is a podcaster, author, musician, and educator, He is the host and producer of World Poetry Open Mic, The Michael Amidei Show, and This Business of Music & Poetry (along with Pulitzer nominee Clifford Brooks). He has been featured on ABC's 20/20 and appeared on the four major networks. JT Gunter began running sound at an early age and got started producing broadcast audio at KGNU. Since then, he has produced thousands of hours of radio and podcast content as producer and cohost of World Poetry Open Mic and the host of Radio Angry, a film review podcast. This is a hands-on workshop where you walk through the steps to plan, make, and share your podcasts.
NOTE: This course will be offered via Zoom. Register now and then the day before class the instructor will send you the link to attend. Look for an email with "CFU Zoom class" in the subject line. A good internet connection and a computer or device with a camera and mic are needed.
