Eye-Catching Digital & Print Content: Graphic Elements & Typography for Non-Designers
Graphic design isn’t just about “making it look pretty,” it’s also about content, layout, and audience analysis. This second graphic design primer teaches the basics of graphical and textual elements to design, or work with a designer, to effectively produce pieces to brand and tell the story of your organization. We will review the various types of image files used in both print and digital design projects. Also learn the importance of selecting type and combinations of fonts to express your message in a visually pleasing manner. Lori Poole has been practicing and teaching public relations and communication techniques for decades. She has worked with corporations, nonprofits and individuals in building their brands, as well as teaching design courses and creative skills for tapping into those areas of the business and professional world. This is a foundational and theoretical course that is presented through demonstration and discussion. Leave ready to make the most of our hands-on design computer classes or to work more effectively with graphic designers.
