Promotional Pieces That Pop: Basics of Color & Design Elements for Non-Designers
Good design evokes emotion to represent your brand in printed and digital materials. In this first of two primers for non-designers, learn the essential concepts of design to get the most out of using programs such as InDesign or Photoshop. Explore the creative process and how best to make deliberate design choices. Review basics of color theory and look at logo designs to determine what makes for the best images and graphic elements. Lori Poole has been practicing and teaching public relations and communication techniques for decades. She has worked with corporations, nonprofits and individuals in building their brands. This is a foundational and theoretical course provided through demonstration and discussion. It will enable you to make the most of our hands-on design computer classes or to work more effectively with graphic designers.
NOTE: This course will be offered via Zoom. Register now and then the day before class the instructor will send you the link to attend. Look for an email with "CFU Zoom class" in the subject line. A good internet connection and a computer or device with a camera and mic are needed.
