How to Create an Effective Online Course (Online)
Do you want to create an online course but don’t know where to start? This online class will show you how to design and create your course using free technology tools. Find out how you can build a course that can be accessed by participants at their convenience. You can use this to train employees, offer a service to your clients, or teach a community class. This can be a stand-alone “asynchronous” course or used in conjunction with live webinars. You will learn how to use a Learning Management System, create your own videos and podcasts, find copyright-free images, use graphic design tools and then put it altogether in a way that will keep your participants engaged. Patty Martin has an MA in writing and communication and an ME in educational leadership. She has taught for a fully online school for 20 years and has authored six instructional books on writing. In addition to using online platforms for her own courses, she can empower you create classes that sizzle.
Meet with Patty on Zoom for a live discussion and orientation to the course material. Then you will have access to the course material online and be able to work through the information and exercises at your own pace. Plan on about 6 hours of course time. If you cannot join the live Zoom meeting, you can still register and take the full online course.This course will be offered via Zoom. Once you have registered and prior to class the instructor will send you the link to attend the class. .
