The Nuts & Bolts of Starting a Business
Before you launch your business, you need a solid understanding of the different types of business structures to choose from. The course will explain the formation, management, liability, taxation, and termination process of the five business formations: sole proprietorship, general partnership, limited partnership, limited liability company, and corporation. We will discuss the differences between an S-Corp and an LLC. Learn what protections are afforded by each entity and begin to consider which might be best for your business. Stephanie Green is a paralegal, legal assistant, and owner of Greenbacks and Associates Group, a paralegal group that prepares business and legal documents. She is also the executive director for Another Life Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to helping those battling mental illness. This class is informational and not intended to replace advice from your accountant or attorney.
