The Keys to a Successful Event: Fundraising for Your Nonprofit
A nonprofit fundraising event can truly be fun to plan and organize, particularly when it pays off in real dividends to your charity, PTA, church, or other nonprofit. In addition to raising funds, putting on a good event is an important way to gain visibility for your organization. This workshop will give you an overview of the dos and don'ts for creating and running your successful event. Discuss the types of events and how to determine what type will work best for your market. Learn all about sponsorship and creating long-term relationships. Explore novel ways of fundraising and the power of the 501(c)(3). Class is a combination of presentation and discussion; class will have real time to discuss their potential events. Lynnette Adams is the owner of Perfect Presence Event Planning and Consulting and the assistant director of donor relations for the Community College of Aurora Foundation where she cultivates donors and sponsors and handles third-party event planning. She has over a decade of experience in event planning and fundraising. Adams has helped to raise over one million dollars for various organizations. She believes in a creative and fun approach to engaging donors and creating long term sustainable relationships.
