Accounting Basics for Entrepreneurs: For Quickbooks & Other Accounting Apps
This course is for smart entrepreneurs who never wanted to be accountants but are savvy enough to know that accounting is key to the success of their business. This is NOT a class to teach you how to use the QuickBooks program. (Find Quickbooks how-to and one-on-one coaching classes in our computer training section.) It IS a foundational class to help you know how tell the story of your business in numbers and plan for its best future. If you’re not yet using Quickbooks, the information you get in this class will make learning and using the software easier and more meaningful. If you already use the software, you’ll get invaluable insights about its utility for your business. Learn how to set up your books, use annual accounting processes, and read financial statements. Learn basic accounting concepts for operations and tax reporting and how to close your books each month and at year end. Be ready to communicate more effectively with your accountant and save money in tax preparation. Libby Smith of ATLAS CPAs & Advisors has been a QuickBooks and accounting coach for entrepreneurs for 25+ years.
