Voice-Over: Do You Have What It Takes?

Learn about the lucrative yet competitive business of voice-over and what qualities and skills you need to succeed. Discover how to break into voice-over and market your voice talent. Topics include commercials for TV/radio, narration, audiobooks, animation voicing, union versus non-union, and talent agents. You'll work in front of a mike and cold read two commercial spots, followed by critical and positive feedback. Bill Smith (SAG and AFTRA) has five decades of stage and film credits as actor, director, and producer. He taught conservatory acting at Cornell University and created Denver's The Acting Studio in 1982 to train stage, film, and voice-over actors. Students will receive, by email, personal recordings of their studio session. Access to a computer and email is necessary. Class is held in Bill's home studio.
