Acting for Stage AND Film
Stage and film acting are close cousins, but they employ different techniques and degrees of emotional expression. The most successful actors in Colorado work in all media: theatre, movies, commercials, and voice-over. Join, for 4 weeks, an ongoing workshop that explores various acting methods and develops your audition skills. Explorations include voice/speech warm-ups, monologues, and scene study, all adjusted for your professional goals in stage and/or film. All exercises are recorded on your personal DVD. Training covers the "biz": resumes, headshots, and how to get a talent agent. This ongoing workshop brings in participants of all levels of performance experience. Coach Bill Smith is SAG/AFTRA, has operated five theatre companies, and taught acting for Cornell University's MFA theater program. The Acting Studio has trained Colorado actors for 30 years. The materials fee includes a DVD, scripts, and handouts. Class is held in Bill's home studio.Code: | 3171BU |
