House Hacking 101: How to Live Mortgage Free (or Close to it) (Online)
House-hacking is the cool new term for an old trick: Renting out a portion of your home to generate income. We'll cover the different house hacking models -- from rent-by-the room, to a basement apartment, to a true multi-unit purchase and more. Hear real-life examples of people who have successfully cut down their monthly mortgage with house hacking. If you already own a home or are considering purchasing a house or an investment, this is a great class for reducing your mortgage costs, creating financial independence, and living a FIRE lifestyle.This class is appropriate for all experience levels. James Carlson is a real estate agent in Denver and Colorado Springs working with buyers, sellers and investors. Along with his wife, Erin, he owns five properties and has helped numerous clients achieve house hacking success. NOTE: This class will be offered via Google Hang Out. Instructions for connecting will be emailed prior to class.

The day before class you will receive an email with the link that you'll use to attend the meeting. You don't need to have a gmail account to attend the meeting, but you will need to use the Chrome Browser. Once you've opened the link, you will fill in your name and your instructor will invite you into the meeting. Make sure that you have a good internet connection and a laptop or tablet with a camera and microphone.|
