3D Printing & Computer-Aided Design (CAD)
Learn how to manipulate, design, and print 3D models. Discuss the history of 3D printing, how a 3D printer is built, and get hands-on experience operating the machine to make a print you can take home. The class is taught by Adam Mikulis and Chris Polk, co-founders of New Frontier Systems, a Denver-based company that has designed and built the world’s largest freestanding FDM-type 3D printer. Adam Mikulis has taught computer-aided design and 3D printing to all ages and has a passion for solving real-world problems with technology. Adam is a former Air Force officer and a graduate of the US Air Force Academy. Chris Polk has both a BA and MA in biomedical sciences from Colorado State University, focusing on anatomy and physiology.He has previous startup experience in website and mobile application creation and design.
