Brain Food: Supercharge Your Mind, Boost Your Mood
If you think about it, you already know that food makes a difference in how you feel and how your brain functions. If you’ve ever been really hungry, you have probably experienced feeling grumpy and angry, or realized that it’s hard to focus and easy to make mistakes. Because your body and mind are so connected, healing your body is a key step in healing your brain. Learn how nutrition affects the neurotransmitters in the brain and, as a result, your mood. Find out how hormones, including your sex hormones, interconnect to impact emotions. Explore the effect of genetics on brain health. Nutritionist Amanda Halliday will show you the role nutrition has on your mental state and how you can improve your brain health through your diet. Get the tools for fostering your own healing without the use of chemicals. Class is held in the instructor's home, there are a few stairs to climb to get to the door. Please let CFU know if you are unable to do stairs so we can make other arrangements for the class.
