Mindful Self-Care for Modern Life: Your Most Precious Resource is You!
Ever feel overwhelmed with your commitments, to-do lists, or life in general? Do you build in time to take care of yourself before or while you take care of all the other stuff? Join this course to discover evidence-based practical self-care strategies that you can weave into any part of your busy days/lives. Learn how to use mindfulness, meditation, and play to calm, soothe, and nurture yourself. Explore the power tools of gratitude, self-compassion, and forgiveness. Different strategies work better for different people, so we will discuss and practice a wide range of self-care principles and techniques to find what may be the best fit for you. Lara Dunn is a speech language pathologist and educator and has served as an adjunct faculty member at Metropolitan State University in the department of Communication Disorders and Sciences. She is a licensed religious science practitioner at Mile Hi Church.
