Topics covered include the pros and cons of acquiring start-up money; profit vs. cash flow; the short business plan; negotiating leases; dealing with regulatory agencies; marketing on a tight budget; acquiring licenses; knowing when to walk away from a deal; and more! Tony Uva has taught marketing and business for over 25 years at Regis University and the University of Phoenix. He’s also taught entrepreneurial studies courses at Johnson and Wales University. He owned Allegra’s Pizza in Denver’s Park Hill neighborhood for 10 years, and he now owns and operates a pizza food truck. Tony is a volunteer at SCORE, Service Corps of Retired Executives, where he mentors small business owners and conducts workshops. Tony will tailor each class to the needs of those attending.
