Picture This! Understanding Your DSLR Camera Functions

You have vision, so learn to use it properly! Get the most out of your handheld contraption with this hands-on class to get to know the basic features of your digital camera. Learn about aperture, shutter speed, ISO, white balance, and camera modes. Find out how to navigate the internal menu and gain insight into image quality, while you master the art of exposure. Get more comfortable with your camera's controls as you experiment taking photos in class. Zena Ballas is a photographer and intuitive writer with a passion for storytelling. With nearly ten years of experience under her belt, the continual pursuit of new moments and interesting captures pushes her to evolve her vision. NOTE: This class will be presented via Zoom. Make sure your camera is a DSLR, not simple point-and-shoot, and don't forget to bring it with you, including the manual. This class material will be covered over two days (via Zoom) in order to thoroughly review the basic functions of your DSLR camera. *Please make sure you have a DSLR camera BEFORE you register for the class.* Other digital cameras (like mirrorless or point-and-shoot) will be difficult to assess during a live webinar. Be ready to log on and join the meeting 5-10 minutes prior to the class start time so you will be ready when class begins. If you have trouble using the link, just go to Zoom.us, click "Join a Meeting" and enter the meeting ID provided in the instructor's email.
