The Dark Web: Be Enlightened
At least once a week you’ll hear it in the news: a computer breach against some company or government has netted thousands of user identities, credit cards, or the like, and it’s all for sale on the “dark web.” Many bad things are available for a price. But what and where is this “dark web?” How does one get to it? How does it differ from the “deep web?” Chris Murphy, CISSP cybersecurity expert, explains the technology and the good uses and bad. He will show a step-by-step tutorial sharing the free tools necessary for the journey and give handouts for those wishing to explore safely. Take a peek into the top surface of what is out there, stopping short of the worst type of content. If you’ve ever been curious, this class is for you. NOTE: This class will be offered via WebEX. Once registered and prior to class, you will receive an email from firstname.lastname@example.org with the invite to attend class.
