Let’s Get Singing!: Beginning Voice Workshop
You don't have to be a Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, or Tony Bennet to have a great time singing. You can learn techniques to become the best singer YOU can be! Learn practical tips from long-time singer and vocal coach, Cindy Williams. Cindy will begin by explaining the mechanics of vocalizing; we often better understand how a guitar works than how our own body produces sound. She will go on to explain and/or demonstrate correct singers' breathing, phrasing, care of the vocal cords, and so on. Participants will receive a packet of information that they can refer to for months or years to come. At the end of this class you will have a tool kit of techniques to continue improving your own voice and a sense of confidence to get you singing at a karaoke bar or auditioning for a band or musical theater production. Whether you are new to singing or it's just been a while, this class might just get you to experience the joy of singing!
